Commercial Design
At Target, I worked both Technical and Designer roles for some of the largest sales volume categories for toddler and boys knit top and bottom programs. As a hybrid designer I was able to bring my categories from concept all the way through to development.
Independent Design
In my personal design work and textile art I have evolved to taking a homegrown maker approach, that serves as a slow alternative to the global apparel industry and follows a sustainable circular model by honoring both the process of making and the natural resources needed to bring soft goods to life. My work includes designing, patterning, sewing, quilting, plant dying and hand stitching, and centers materials that are upcycled and made from 100% natural fibers.
